I have been a member at First United Methodist Church since I was in high school. After leaving Pennsbury HS, I went to West Chester University, where I met my future husband, Ron, and brought him to this “neck of the woods”. We have three wonderful children who can be found here at church on many occasions when they are not busy with their lives and, gratefully, they have made their homes nearby and we get to see our seven amazing grandchildren on a fairly regular basis.
Currently I am teaching Sunday School here at FUMC and I have been doing that longer than I care to think about. For almost as long, I have been serving on the Altar Committee with the help of so many wonderful ladies. I also helped with the Youth Group for many years. Currently I help with the Food Pantry on Wednesdays. That has become one of the most amazing projects here at First UMC and “employs” the most wonderful group of volunteers I have ever worked with.
Ron and I love worshipping and serving at FUMC and are so thankful for all the church family and friends that we have here. We also love welcoming new friends and Pastors along with their families, and many have become great friends. I truly love working with the children here at church and hope to expand the education experience here at FUMC!
